Office Assistant / Bookkeeper
Home Built Books is a custom bookkeeping business designed to help builders and contractors manage the finance function of their businesses. We started in 2021 and are quickly becoming the leading accounting service in the area for the construction industry.
We are in search of an administrative assistant to help with day-to-day business operations. Service is our passion; We thrive on helping our clients succeed. We don’t hire team members – we hire family members. Responsibilities for Office Assistant

Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party

Process, sort, and route incoming and outgoing mail and emails

Assist with the upkeep of internal systems including CRM software and online file management system

Perform other administrative support tasks, including errand running, updating and sorting files, drafting and proofreading correspondence and conducting research

Assist with bookkeeping and data entry tasks for clients as needed

Other administrative duties as assigned, depending on business needs
Qualifications for Office Assistant

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associate degree preferred

Clean driving record and comfortability running errands with the company vehicle

1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative or clerical role

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently

Ability to problem solve and improve company processes

Strong time-management skills

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail

Proficient computer skills and ability to operate new software, apps and general office equipment
